Summer Trip and Home again

We are home from our 3 week summer trip.  It started in Seattle where we enjoyed a wonderful pie social and Wedding of the daughter of good friends Ken and Helen.  Collen and Jim were wed in grand style and a lovely ceremony which was followed by the reception of the decade.  Wonderful, restaurant, service, food and company.  We enjoyed the whole adventure very much.

We followed this event by travelling to Kamloops where we parked the Motorhome and travelled by car to Canmore, Alberta to visit Carolyn's cousin Janet and her husband George.  We celebrated Canada day with them and talked details of the Australia Cruise that they are joining us in.   Weather was more or less cooperative and we had a good day watching the Canmore Canada Day Parade.
Once we returned to Kamloops and picked up the Motorhome again we headed north to see Mike and Charlene and the kids and spent 4 fine days with them.  We stayed in Terrace and the municipal Campground there, since that is where Cheyenne and Dakota live and work and where Michael works.  From there we drove up by car to New Aiyansh to visit on Saturday and Sunday.  Friday Night they all came into Terrace and we visited around a campfire in our Campground.  Really nice seeing them all and the visit was short but we had to get back to appointments for ourselves and Mom.

Speaking of Mom, her "ulcer" on her leg is improving, there are hopeful signs that it might actually heal, we are all hoping.  In the meantime the extra drugs and antibiotics are taking their toll.   She has been somewhat confused about things, but can still hold a conversation pretty well.  Her spirits are good.  She told me today she wants a new wheelchair, so I guess she is planning on staying around a while yet.

The pictures show the new Nisga'a museum in Greenville in the Nass Valley.  Brand new and Charlene had a hand in setting up the display's within it.  You can see more of it if you browse around the Nisga'a Knowledge Network site HERE.

TTFN, Ciao and Peace.
