Fall is here!

There is a chill in the air, and the days are shorter, starting to cut into our golf starts. Hmmm! But it is nice to see the trees turn, and it is getting closer to heading South.

I have been busy with Lions, as I am secretary for this year. Told them I would be away for at least 3 months, but the last secretary, also Gary, will substitute for me while I am gone. He had been secretary for 10 years and with no other takers was willing to do anything to get a break. So I'm it for awhile anyway. I am also the webmaster for our clubs website, you may have noticed the link on the right. Anyhow, it keeps me busy, this the paucity of my blogs.

We did manage to get to a Good Sam Rally at Weirs beach, and that was a nice break, and the rig got a work out. Gotta exercise them once in a while. We did a lunch at My Chosin Cafe, where Tena works, and she was on but we weren't in her section.

Speaking of Tena we had her and David over for dinner for her birthday. Also we had Mom, Sue and Rob over for Thanksgiving dinner. Nice Turkey and stuff. No other family this year. Lyn and Alan were tied up with the Victoria Marathon. 13,000 runners this year, so Lyn was tied up with organization. She would have been out Thanksgiving day too, but fell ill with a virus that gave her massive headaches and sores inside her mouth.. She is OK now. David and Tena do their own thing with her family and Noni stayed up in Comox, so it was just my Mom and us, so we invited the Robinson's, as there were to leave within a few days of that. However, not to be. Sue's operation is coming up and she found she wouldn't be covered with travel insurance, so they decided to stay home until the operation and recovery is over, and that could be a few months.

Well that is about it, except for cleaning up the garage and getting ready to move all our bedroom furniture out, so the new carpet can be laid, that should happen on the 25th Oct. Next on our travel agenda is a couple of days down in Washington visiting the Kirkwoods.

TTFN, Peace.
