Mom & I visited Vancouver Recently and had a wonderful time with Remy. She was shy with us at first but gradually she warmed up to us and during dinner she wanted me to pick her up. Sure made my day. You can see Mom (Great Nana to Remy) was pleased too. I got to read several stories with her and she played catch with Grandma and we had a great time. Of course it was great to see them all. Auntie Dee (Catherine's sister) was there as well. We had a great dinner. We did it all in one day. Ferry over in the morning and back at night. Mom was exhilarated and not at all tired when we got back to the Care Centre at 11:15 pm. I was.

A couple of days later, a niece of Mom and cousin of mine Pat and her husband Joe dropped in for a visit. We had lunch together. They were passing through on a summer holiday. They headed for Tofino the next day. Mom was very pleased that the dropped in and we had an enjoyable visit.

Carolyn missed out on both those events as she and Sue were hosting a couple of girls from Massachusetts. The same two that joined Sue, Ann, Marny, and Ann's Mom last year on an Alaskan cruise. They hadn't seen enough of Victoria last year so paid another visit. They did the usual touristy things, whale watching and the like. Got together at our place for a dinner and another at Ann's where all eight girls got together. Kind of a reunion. Apparently everyone had a grand time.
