So what have we been up to the past few weeks.

Well most recently we took off for a week up Island to visit Noni and some friends. The first night we dropped in for supper with Rob and Sue, they were up in the same area at Pacific Playgrounds, then the following night dinner with Noni. That weekend she brought out her mini Class C "Gertie" and was in the site next to us. Her and a friend BBQ'd Shish Ka Bobs and veggies which we thoroughly enjoyed esp after Prawn appies. mmmm.

Monday we had lunch with Kathy and Denny where we discussed more details of our upcoming cruise next May. We now have 5 couples going on this Baltic Cruise. Tuesday evening we had dinner at Betty and Terry's along with Kathy and Denny. Due to the heat, like we had 4 days above 30 C (86F) and one day the high was 34C (93F), she had a wonderful Cheese tortellini and various exotic salads, just scrumptious. A very nice week all round. The pictures I took of Air Force Beach a place with lots of memories as we camped there with the kids often during our tour in Comox, 1978-82. I turned the camera around a took a picture of the goofy couple enjoying the scenery.

Mom has been great. Her congestive heart failure and resulting bloating is under control of the diuretics, and she has been in cheery and just a great mood. This has been why we have been able to get away to comox and earlier to a Vancouver Islander's Rally. This was held up near Duncan at Cowichan Bay. It was a good rally on a large paved area at the Westcan terminal. Details are on the Vancouver Islander blog page listed on my blog list on the right.

Though my 70th birthday was in June the family gathering occurred after our return from up North. So my birthday lasted a month, OK with me. Mike and family had cake for me up in Terrace and then the family in Victoria got together at Lyn's, Noni came down and we included some of our friends and had a festive evening, joking how old I'm getting.

Now back to Facebook.

TTFN & Peace
Ciao.
