Dakota Graduates
The trip up to New Aiyansh was eventful, inasmuch, as we had company, Chelsea came along so that we could drop her off at her boyfriends location, namely, Fraser Lake. It is the first time we got to meet Cole, a nice guy and they make a lovely couple. We had dinner with them, then let them loose to their own devices.
We arrived Thursday night, set up in the Lava Bed Campground. We had nice day visiting Friday catching up 'n stuff and I was honoured with a steak dinner and a birthday cake. This is working out to be a great birthday, it just may last a month.
Dakota graduated today, and the ceremony was great, lots of photos. Now we are just cooling our heels until the banquet tonight.
Great visit so far.
TTFN,
Ciao. & Peace.

Brother Jack and the boys come to visit.

They arrived via Vancouver and a short visit with Catherine, unfortunately, due to unforseen events they didn't get to see Remy, Margot or Joel.
It was a busy 8 days, but they got to see most everyone. They got out to the petting zoo and Beacon hill park, not to mention Beacon Hill
Ice Cream cones (the best in the world - twice yet) Come to think of it DQ twice too. Ice Cream is our thing. Got to the Victoria Museum and we went to see Shrek, the Final Chapter, as well.

The boys got out to spend time with Ben at Dave and Tena's place, they got along very well. One of the occasions included a swim at the local Recreation Centre.
A family gathering on Saturday was well attended by all available including Noni, down from Comox and Chelsea over from Vancouver. Catherine wasn't able to make it over for that but she did
come over for the day the following Monday.

We managed to get Mom out on 3 of the days, and she did well, though it was tiring. She has seen the doctor twice, her vitals, blood work and ECG were OK, however her stomach is still upsetting her, so this past Friday I had her in for an Xray, and next Tuesday she is to have an ultrasound, which we hope will give us a clue as to what is going on.
Over all a great visit, sorry to see them go, but they had only 4 days to get back before Jack gets back to summer teaching on June 7th. He just recently found out he will be promoted to Associate Professor and had gained tenure. Congratulations Jack. Thanks for the visit too.
Ciao.
