Happy Birthday David
Happy Birthday David.
He is on the road today to pick up Megan in Comox. Megan's Grandma died this week, and she was in Comox to attend the service. David is bringing her home for school as Megan's Mom is staying in Comox for a few days. Not expecting to see him we dropped in anyways and to our surprise he was already back. I guess between not having to go all the way to Comox and the fact he was driving his zippy sports car, he didn't take too long at all. Megan is doing OK, and our thoughts are with her.
It has been an interesting week and week end politically. Our new Prime Minister attempting to commit political suicide and the opposition parties talking coalition to take him and the conservatives out of power. Interesting times

Sad week, Good week, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday Jack
Calgary, beat Montreal in the Grey Cup, that was a good thing. The West dominates yet again.
Golfing weather is holding well, despite the fact we have had a bit of rain. The economy is in the toilet, but at least gas prices are down, although that is compensated for with an 82 cent Canadian Dollar, which will make everything more expensive down South. Got the oil/lube done on the motor home, so it is ready, Carolyn has been ready for some time, chomping at the bit to go. We have a new parking spot for the Rig, so we now have electricity on it, thanks Ann.
Tomorrow is Jack's Birthday, Happy Birthday guy, have a great day. Tomorrow Mom goes to the pace maker clinic for her 6 months checkup.
And for our American Friends, Jack and his boys too a very Happy Thanksgiving.
"May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs! " Anon.

Happy Birthday Mom
I have a Lions meeting tonight and I'm treasurer, so we are doing lunch instead. She'll have visitors tonight in any event.
Our counters are nearly done. The back splash was installed by Rob and myself, now all that is left is the grout. It is looking quite good. Carolyn is happy so then I'm happy too.
Mike and Gail were over for dinner last night so we reminisced about our cruises, and the chatted about their next ones, one of which is Australia, unfortunately we won't be joining them on that one. We will be heading South with the motor home come January. Mom isn't real happy about that but has accepted it.
Off to lunch with the Birthday girl,

LEST WE FORGET
The Cridge Centre for Seniors informed residents that for Remembrance day that they would be placing pictures on a Remembrance Wall. Mom wanted to put up some pictures of Dad and Grandpa. So I told her I had many scanned pictures and would put something together for her to put up. I found out later that it was in fact a Memory Wall and one could put up any pictures of lost ones, not only those of War Time so I was glad to add Dennis. He was a Peacenik; and though against wars, it is the supposed purpose of war to bring Peace.
So we remember those that fought for Peace in their own ways.
They shall not be forgotten.
Have a look at this Remembrance Site, and watch the video.
And as a famous Peacenik said in his last blog
Take care all, TATA and Peace.

Another Birthday Weekend
Time flies when you are having fun.
We have recovered from the 90th Birthday weekend and launched into the counter top preps, install and plumbing. Once the counter top installers were ready, Rob, David and myself tore out the old ones and tore out the sink and garburator too. The next day the counters were installed and though we were planning to do the plumbing the 3rd day, the counters went in so quickly that Rob and I put the new sink and garburator in that same day. All that remains is the back splash that will be tile. We await the arrival of the tile. It really looks nice and Carolyn is pleased. I hoped we would have the tile by now to have it complete for her birthday this weekend, but not to be.
Suzanne took her out for a birthday lunch today (Fri), tomorrow we get together with my Mom, David and Tena for pizza and birthday cake; then Noni is coming in from Comox and she & Lyn are taking us both out for dinner, for their Mom's birthday on Sunday. So another busy birthday weekend.
We sure have been getting the rains. Record amount of rain in one day, yesterday for Victoria, and more today and likely all weekend. Oh to head south, but that won't happen until after Christmas.
Cute little Red Chili Pepper outfit for the Baby in Catherine's blog, she looks sooooo cute.
Happy to read in Helen's blog that she is recovering well, and that the operation was successful, here is to a speedy recovery.
Happy Birthday to my Honey.
Ciao!
