The renovations continue, with the application of a second coat of paint in breakfast nook, pictures are back up, new light fixtures installed as well as new large slat venetian blinds, it is all looking good.  Now we await the kitchen counters.  They are being made and will be installed come end of October.

We and Mom have seen the Remy, but that is old news as witnessed in Catherine's blog.  Remy is a sweetie and we look forward to seeing her again, with Joel, Margot and Catherine mid October for my Mom's 90th birthday party.   Her birthday is actually in November, but since my brother Jack and girl friend Connie are visiting mid October, I thought it would be a good idea to hold it then.  Of course she doesn't think so; she doesn't like to be a bother.  We have family coming in from, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver.  I am looking forward to it and I know Mom will enjoy it once it happens, she is such a worry wart and she is not even organizing it.  She hasn't seen some of the relatives since she moved last year, it will be good for her.

We are also looking forward to seeing Jack and meeting the girl friend too.  He won't be bringing the boys, which is too bad but hopefully we will see them next year.

I was in a Lions golf tournament a couple of weeks ago and our team one the event.  It was a 3 way tie, but by some magical formula they declared us the winners.  The weather in September has been just great so I have been getting in more golf than usual. Rob and I have gotten to a few movies, none of which were very memorable.  Carolyn, Sue and Ann got to Mama Mia (the movie) and quite enjoyed it.

I had a couple of computer repair jobs and actually made some money.  I have to watch it, I don't want it to become a job.  One was a nasty case of multiple virus and spyware infection, nasty business that.

My annual medical was a success, I'm good for another 12 months, 12000 miles.  Carolyn is doing well, despite her vertigo which comes and goes.  We are both getting antsy to head south but that ain't going to happen until the new year.  In the meantime there is work to be done on the motor home.

Well TTFN.  Be well and Peace.

We joined a Good Sam Rally of 4 local chapters in Duncan for 4 days near the end of August,  most enjoyable.  We went with Rob and Sue, and had a relaxing time there.  Took in Salty's fish and chips the first night and enjoyed a pot luck Dinner with the group the Saturday night.  There was fun and games and bingo at which Sue won a nice basket of goodies, which they shared with us.

Once back home we finished painting the kitchen, breakfast nook area with a second coat and now Carolyn is at Rona (Home Depot wannabee) to sign for the new counters, sink etc.  And new window venetian blinds.  Then we be done.

Enjoyed a dinner last night with Sue and John up at My Chosen Cafe in Metchosin.  Our Daughter in law Tena now works there, though she wasn't on last night.  She works mainly days.  Like it there too.  She and David have a houseful now.  Her sister and fiance broke up and so is a bit stranded and thus she and her baby are moving in until she can find a place of her own.  Additionally Tena's oldest has moved back in for "a while" too.  Quite a houseful, must call and see how that is working out.

The new baby is doing well, no new pictures lately, but we will be getting some soon, Mom, Carolyn and I are making a day trip to Vancouver soon to see her and the family.  Mom is so excited to be making a trip.  She is doing really well, we are so pleased.

TTFN            Ciao
& Peace.
