Happy Easter
We had dinner last Sunday at Lyn & Alan's. Great meal as usual. Rachel & Saul were there as well as Adam and his girlfreind Sarah. What a doll, she is pretty, slim and well spoken. They are obviously very fond of each other and we were all very pleased to meet her. Unfortunately, like Adam, she is averse to picture taking so I didn't get a good one of her or them. She says she will be back again soon.
The week whizzed by with mostly chores, garage cleanup etc. Did get myself a new chair so now I'm even more comfortable in front of the computer. At least this chair stays at the height I put it. The old one had a tendancy to slowly drop until the keyboard was at my chin.
I did a count of Mother's pills, of course I have a spreadsheet of Dates, quantities and dosage so I can track her usage. She is bang on taking them properly, which is great for someone who will be 90 this year. Good to see. She is doing well, better than some of the younger ones at the Cridge. She still refers to them as a bunch of "old people" around here. lol
Today, back to Alan & Lyn's for Easter "late lunch early supper", whats that "lupper" or "supunch". Early is good, Alan's dad can still drive in daylight hours and we all get to go home earlier. Hmmmm speaking of a bunch of old people??
Think I'll have a nap.
Ta ta & Peace.

Home Yet Again
We arrived back to the land of liquid sunshine on Friday. Trip back was quick and uneventful, save for the wall of rain we ran into as soon as we entered Oregon. Smooth sailing of the Coho Ferry, and through Customs for that matter. Since then we have been unpacking. A motorhome is nothing if not a great big suitcase. Really big suitcase and it holds one hell of a lot of stuff, particularly since we have to store it away from the house. Well we have been living out of that big suitcase and always manage to put in more than we take out. We are pretty well done, thanks to Joyce and her driveway. Tomorrow we park it at Fort Victoria.
Mom came over for dinner last night and she is doing well, happy that we are home, she missed us.
Tonight we go to Lyn's for dinner and meet Adam's girlfriend, and we are so looking forward to that. By all reports she is very nice. More on that later.
For now that's it.
ta ta & Peace.

Throught the pass
We made the trip through the Siskiyou pass today, no problems at all. Trip was going smoothly until the rains came today. Well actually this evening and it looks like it will continue for the remaining two days of the trip home. The park last night and tonight were quite good. The wifi here is the best I have ever seen in a park and its free too. That is always the case the stuff you pay for is the pits the free ones are usually great, one wonders?
Tomorrow we should be in the vicinity of Port Angeles and Friday on the Ferry to Victoria.
Ciao
& Peace.

On the road again
Well look at that, I found some wifi in Banning, CA. We got a 335 mile day in today. Despite delays for car accident and construction. Not bad since we got away at 10:10 am this morning. Got here about 6:30 pm. Nice spot, though not worth the $43.00 that they are charging. That's KOA for you. However, we got some wifi, so we can catch up with the news and check the weather ahead, especially for the Siskiyou Pass in Northern California/ Southern Oregon; and the weather there is good and improving so we don't expect any difficulty.
That's it for today.
Ciao.

Klutzes headed home
Helen mentioned that when she read my last blog about being klutzy, she was expecting a comment on my ballet moves at Ken's Birthday Party. I had completely forgotten about that one. She had handed me a pasta salad bowl and a plate with onions and lettuce to put on the table outside, upon turning around and heading for the table my foot caught Cooper's leash, and before I knew it I was heading for a fall, however, as I was heading past the table I dropped the stuff on the table did a pirouette or two got my balance and all was well. Other than losing a few onion rings the food and I survived. Apparently everyone was impressed, I felt silly, but it was worthy of my klutz list.

Sue, Carolyn and I went to the Desert Museum and we had an enjoyable day. They have a great layout, all sorts of cacti, aviaries, humming birds, and various other zoo creatures native to the desert. Carolyn and I had been there before, a couple of years ago, but I had a sore foot (klutz???) and didn't see much. This time I was able to enjoy it all and I did, recommended to any Arizona tourist.
Tomorrow we head home, we will take about a week but should be arriving in Victoria on the weekend of March 15th. This may be the last blog before getting home. Who knows.
Ta ta all & Peace.

Happy 70th Birthday Ken
We plus about 15 others attended Ken's birthday. Helen did a terrific job of preparation, unfortunately she missed the day due to a mysterious 24 illness. Equally, unfortunately so did Karen. Either she had the same mystery illness, or it was a strange coincidence. Helen blames hers on a restaurant salad she had a day and a half earlier. Regardless, the missed the festivities. The rest of us enjoyed it all immensely. Several plates of various German foods all of which were delicious. And of course beer.
We had moved ourselves from Val Vista Winter Village down the road 2 miles to Foothills RV park, where Ken, Helen, Karen and Rod are. Also the same park we spent 2 months in last year. Sue and Rob headed for Picacho Peak for a week. We joined them for a visit to see Ron who had invited us all to the White Stallion Dude Ranch for a fabulous steak dinner. We had been there before and knew it would be great. It was good to see Ron, Kathy, John et. al. Tomorrow we are going to pick up Sue and head for the Desert Museum. Rob and Sue's Mom will be on their own. We will be saying goodbye to them as they soon will leave for Florida. We won't see them until June. Safe Journey guys, its been a fun couple of months.
We all went to the Organ Stop Pizza, in Mesa, last week. They hadn't been there before, but this was our third visit. Still as great as it was before. Good pizza and good music. A must see for any tourist.
Weather has been fabulous, though it has cooled a bit and is windy today. The sun and warmth will be returning.
Carolyn and I have been klutzy lately. She tripped on the concrete pad beside the RV and did a header, landing on her left side and knee. She is recovered quite quickly, with no serious damage. Her knee is still a bit sore. And I fell over a couple of containers that I thought I was carrying but not quite. Also OK, just a bruise on my upper right arm. Then Carolyn bumped her head on the slide coming up from one of the bays. I guess we will just have to be more careful, silly geese that we are.
Talked to Mom and she was pleased that the girls, that is, Lyn, Rachel, Noni, and Chelsea to her out for lunch and pleasant visit. She is doing well, much to our relief.
TTFN. Ta ta & Peace.
