Happy Birthday Rob

It is Rob's birthday today, and someone ballooned his BlueBird. Cute hey, well I guess we could have used a few more balloons, but we ran out of breath.

We will be going to the Golden Trough (Corral) for dinner and back here for his favourite dessert Green Stuff (being polite), that Carolyn traditionally makes for his birthday.

Sue's mother is here, and she is taking us to dinner, Helen and Ken shall join us afterward.

Weather has been holding nice, but, of course, it turned cloudy today just in time to obscure the evening Lunar Eclipse. Hope it clears up before then. It will be a full eclipse, and at a nice evening viewing time.

Happy Birthday Rob

Ciao and Peace.

Happy Valentines day Y'all

Helen and Ken were over for dinner last night, along with Rob who was quite happy to join in since he is still a temporary bachelor as Sue is still in Victoria; she will be returning Saturday. I nice relasing evening with Carolyn's famous spaghetti. I nice Valentines eve. Today we are going to a mexican restaurant and then taking in a movie. "Fools Gold", it should be fun flick, if nothing else.

My computer finally quit. Actually it won't charge at all now. Works fine on battery but when you cannot charge the battery, you are pretty well hooped. The problem is in the circuitry as everything else checks out. So I bought a new computer. A year earlier than what I would have liked, but it is the one I wanted. I'll get the other one fixed when I get home.

Weather has been gorgeous, but a little cooler today and tomorrow, but we will be back to the nice stuff soon.

We had a another great visit with Carolyn's cousin Janet and George. This time we met them at their hotel in Phoenix, before their departure yesterday. We toured around mill street and found a German beer restaurant and enjoyed a meal and their company. Really nice people.

Sunny, Warm and Relaxing

We had a couple of days of wind and rain a week or so ago, followed by some cool weather albeit sunny. It has gradually gotten warmer and the past couple of days has been in the mid 70's F. Very nice. Actually able to sit outside comfortably and enjoy the pool, although that has so far been the idea, that hasn't happened. I have been poking around a computer problem I have had. One of those aggravating intermittent ones. Also been planning to put in an inverter in the coach. I also purchased a GPS which I have been trying to figure out. It is a good one so I think it is suitable as a Valentines day gift for Carolyn. Hee hee. Ouch! It's a Tom Tom 3rd Edition if anyone is interested and I would recommend it.

We have been to a couple of movies. Rob and I have seen Rambo, which wasn't bad if you ignored the blood and gore, however, if you gave it a miss you wouldn't be missing much. Rob, Sue and I went to see "there will be blood", it was good, though kind of weird, not sure I would give it the raving reviews it is getting, but it is worth a look as it has been nominated for those little nude men called Oscar. A really refreshing and entertaining movie all four of saw was Juno. Great little movie with a Halifax born young star and shot in Vancouver and vicinity. Big recommendation here.

Rob has been working with Ken to fix their pantry in their MH and is now planning to fix one of the drawers. You will see in Helen's blog that we celebrated with a brunch last Sunday which was delicious. Helen is such a great gourmet chef and brilliant in her culinary selections. Mmmmmm.

Sunday night we had a pleasant visit with Carolyns Cousing Janet and her Husband George. They were on a short visit in and around the area, Laughlin, Lake Havasu, Tucson, Phoenix, etc. so dropped in for a visit. We may see them again tomorrow, as they transit past from Tucson to Phoenix. They depart for Calgary on the 13th. Great to see them.

Well that's about all the news thats fit to print.

Happy Valentines, Hug your loved ones.

Ciao and peace.

Super News

Margot is pregnant, great news and we are all thrilled for her, Joel and Catherine who is to quote her "over the moon". To read all the details read Catherine's blog.

The sad part is that Dennis would have been so thrilled and excited too. He wanted so much to have grandchildren. Like Catherine says a little bit of him will live on.

Congratulations Margot and Joel.

Ciao and Peace.
