Solstice, David, Dizzy Lyn

Well David's car, a 2007 Solstice, finally arrived. He has been waiting anxiously for months. Sweet looking car, like a speeding ticket waiting to happen. lol. Tena thinks its great, just after it arrived David took sick so she got to drive it more than he. I am sure that has since been rectified.
Here Ben and David are goofing it up. Tena's got a new camera so we are getting pictures. Great stuff. Now if she could get back blogging she could post the pictures there herself. Speaking of blogs, Charlene birthday blog is posted, Happy birthday Char.

Last week Lyn came down with Viral Vestibulitis (Labyrinthitis) or a bad case of dizziness, vertigo, vomiting, nausea, etc. Her blog describes the initial onset colourfully We talked to her last night and she has improved and hopes to be back at work on Monday. Very similar experience to one Carolyn had near the same age about 17 years ago. Carolyn has had recurring bouts of dizziness since but it is not of the Viral category. Lyn is hoping hers will go and be gone forever.

Well that is the family news for now. Karen and Rod like it here so much they converted their one week stay to a month. That is good news as they are a great and fun couple. We have been together for dinners, they are all coming here tonight; and Karen has gotten the girls out hot tubbing on a regular basis, most evenings. The weather has been great though it is windy right now, chance of rain, but the sun is belying that right at this moment.

I have gotten used to the fact that their forecasts here, unlike those in Victoria, are accurate. They said it was going to be windy today, so I took down the awning and sunshade last night. I am glad I did.

Catherine's house has been on the market since Feb. 19th. We should be finding out how the Real Estate Agent Open house went and if it is already sold. It shouldn't take long, it is a nice house in a great part of town.

Happy Chinese New Years

Happy Chinese New Years, particularly Tony and Ann.

Blogs to read. Charlene (mostly pictures), Helen, and (Dizzy) Lyn. She had a violent episode of Vertigo, which was later diagnosed as Viral Labyrinthitis. Spectacular Dizziness, vomiting, nausea, etc. Very similar to Carolyn's initial episode about the same age. Anyhow, she describes it better than I. Carolyn read it and in the manner of all Mothers she was ready to fly home to look after her fledglings, no matter how old they are. Lyn was in the good care of Alan, and her doctor.

Tony and Ann were here for 3 days. Tony had 4 shows to do in Tucson so they were away during the day, but we got together for dinner every night. We enjoyed seeing them again and had a good time. The shows went well and now they are on their way home. Apparently enjoying Chinese New Years at the 7 Feathers Casino and Resort tonight.

Lots of vistors coming and going. Sharon and Bob, friends of Ken and Helen, have been and gone, and today others friends of their's, Karen and Rod have arrived. They should be here a week, with lots to do on their agenda. This is the week we will be getting together with Nat and Gerry. We have seen Nat twice, but they have also been busy with visitors.

Weather has been awesome. I can tell, because I have had the awning out for nearly 10 days and I don't have it out in bad weather. lol.

Anyhow, Carolyn just got off the phone with Lyn. She is doing well and will be off work for a few days on drugs, apparently quite happy right now. Get better dear.

Ciao.

Sign, Flea Market

The Foothills West RV resort that we are at has an address on West Hopi Drive, however, their entrance is off Val Vista Blvd. They have been waiting for their street to be renamed and it came official last week so they put up their new sign on the corner of Val Vista and "North Encore Drive". I took this near dark and the sign is made up of reflective numbers so it showed up really bright but not as bright as the person who made the sign. Didn't use spell check obviously. haha.

Today we went to the Mesa Market Flea market, east of Phoenix. We went with Ken and Helen and their friends Bob and Sharon who are visiting for a week. Huge market with all the usually stuff, but one always find neat things.

Tomorrow Tony and Ann are arriving for 3 days. Tony has a couple of Magic shows to do in Tucson so they will spend some time with us in between the shows and then they will be heading back to Victoria. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Beaudry RV and life in general

We have been enjoying the nice weather that finally showed up. Its been sunny and in the 80's for the past few days. We went up to Beaudry RV in Phoenix, to a show of their RV's. Part of the attraction was free food. We enjoyed that and then wandered in and out of a bunch of RV's. Some really nice Rigs, but, like Carolyn said, too few new ideas, and overall made us happy with what we have.

Today we our Vacuum gave up the ghost. Motor seized so our main activity was to find a new one, which we did, at Wally World, of course.

Just doing a lot of relaxing, reading, sudoku and crossword solving, and generally enjoying the good meals and good company with the Kirkwoods. See Helen's blogg for more info. LOL.
