Well, I'm a temporary Bachelor. Carolyn is off to Ottawa to attend the nuptuals of our God Daughter this weekend. I haven't heard anything so I guess she made it OK.
I have been updating and or re-creating web pages, and had a PEST (Parklane Emergency Support Team) meeting last night. So Ive been keeping out of mischief, so far, anyways.
Well must go read the "honey-do" list.

We just saw "The Interpreter", Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman. Excellent film, quite enjoyed by all. 6 thumbs up (their were 3 couples). See Rachel and Adam pics following.

1 of 2 pictures of Adam and Rachel. Neat shots done by a friend of Alan. Same photog that did their wedding.

I think you mean 80 cents per litre Dennis. You're lucky, we are paying $1.02 per litre. But it is all relative to what you are used to. We have been paying .969 for months so we complain cause the price is up and more than elsewhere. So many Canadians are complaining too. The Brits are paying 90 pence per litre; that is $2.12 Cdn/litre, $9.67 Cdn/UK Gal, or $6.60 USD/US Gal. How would we like those prices. So everyone is complaining, not only the Americans. It may be cheaper there but still up much from what they are used to.
Vancouver Gas Prices
Well the sun is shining and the birds are singing so time to go for a walk.

Nothing spectacular this past week, except for the weather. It has been warm and sunny and expected to continue for a few more days. As a result we have been getting out to walk, almost once a day. Been going to the Gym too. My Lions meeting was Wednesday night, and that was pretty normal; it is a dinner meeting so I have had dinner out 3 nights in a row. Had a nice dinner out with Sue and John Hutchins Thursday night at El Greco, and we were invited to Ken and Bernadette Merkley's for dinner last night. Excellent meal and great to catch up on news. So it is a good thing I am going to the Gym and walking. Weight is not going down, but I'm having fun.
At Ken's I recalled an incident where we saw him on TV while in we were in Yuma last January. We had the ExpressVu satellite dish working and just happened to watching the Victoria News and Ken was being interviewed. He is president of the Kidney foundation (he has had two kidney transplants, second one from his daughter) and heavily involved with organ donor movement. Apparently he had 14 interviews over a 3 week span in January and February. We caught one of them. It is a struggle to get those organ donations.
My shoulder and arm are improving daily, probably be better by the time I get the ultra sound on the 5th of May. I see a physiotherapist on Monday, and will get a reading on its progress. Dennis: I'll check with the Doctor next week on whether the statin drugs I'm taking are affecting the progress of my arm healing. I don't have any other muscle pains, and my annual liver function tests are normal, but it don't hurt to ask.
Haven't heard much from the Kirkwood blog lately, probably still out galavanting around in their "Winabagel" Brave. I wonder how the Change of Command went for their son Brian. Well I'm sure we will find out in due course.
Keeping on blogging all you bloggers out there, News is good. Ciao!

Hey, I haven't blogged for awhile. Been getting to the Gym regularly, so I'm tired. We just came in from a long walk along the Gorge. Beautiful afternoon, especially when it was supposed to be rainy today. Sure rained last night tho.
Went to dinners at Lyn's Thursday night. Carolyn took the whole dinner over. Well we were going to have them over here and Lyn suggested their place since they have more room. So we had them over for dinner at their place. Follow?
Not much else going on much here this past week. Still settling in after getting back into the house.
I see from Lewis' blog that he is making a West Coast Trip this summer. We'll be here, but I'll have to email you the details Lewis, once we have settled on just what those details are. No doubt you will be bringing your golf clubs, so I had better get back on the course myself. I haven't golfed since last November.
Only 50 more sleeps until we climb aboard that iceberg magnet Dennis. Get packing.

Well there they are. The New Aiyansh Ousey kids. I scanned them in and posted them below.
It is our anniversary today and we are taking Chelsea out to celebrate that and her birthday which is tomorrow.
The place is almost back to normal. I was able to get a spot at Fort Victoria for the Motorhome. Since we were supposed to be back later, my reservation for storage was May 1st. They are so busy there that for awhile they could not get me a spot before then, but having rearranged a few things, they got me a spot for Monday April 11th. Which is good, because Joyce has guest arriving on the 12th and she would probably appreciate having her driveway back. We sure appreciate her for letting us use it when we need it. She is a grand Winnipeg girl, in fact, coincidentally, went to the same High School as Carolyn, about 2 years ahead of her.
Well better go wash the thing, anyone want to help? Please?

Welcome back Helen. Looks like you guys will be quite busy over the next while. Hope all goes well with you brother. We sure did enjoy our time with you in Oregon.
Welcome back Lewis. Too bad the snow is gone, oh well into the mud with the quads hey?
My Lions meeting went well last night, considering my treasurer activities were tested. Surprisingly it all worked out once I counted it all up today.
Just got back from Mike and Gail Kattler's. They had us over for desert and a round of download pictures from Mikes camera, fiddling with them and getting them on a CD.
Mike is talking about a great looking Cruise (on the other side of the pond) Late May 2006, wants us to look into it and maybe join them. We will take a serious look at it. More later.
Lousy sleep last night so off to beddy byes. Yawn.

Been some busy since getting home. Mostly unpacking the packed stuff in the house and unpacking the motorhome, and generally can't find anything, just about as bad as moving.
Otherwise back into the normal home stuff. I had a meeting Monday to attend of the Strata Council since I am a member and have missed most of the winter. Nothing much has changed, except they fired to old gardener and now we have a new one. Wednesday, oh yeah, tonight is my Lions meeting, and since our treasurer has decided to go to the World Curling thingy tonight, I will be acting treasurer, that will keep me out of any mischief.
The house was left neat and tidy, nice people Marion and Burt. Got a call from them and they have made it back to Winnipeg in one piece, just wanted to let us know and see if all was well here. They have purchased a new Condo in Winnipeg so it doesn't look like they will be moving here as they were thinking, so they may still want to use our place whenever we are away in the winter. Thats good.
Just found several school pictures that we got from Michael and Char last year. Forgot I had them. So when I get around to scanning them I'll put them on the blog.
Carolyn will be travelling to Ottawa for the marrage of our God-Daughter Erica to Pedro. The wedding is April 30th. She is returning via Winnipeg. She will be arriving in Winnipeg May 3rd staying through to May 9th. She will be there for Mother's Day. I won't be making the trip as I have too much on during that time, including medical appointments for my shoulder.
Well thats 'bout it. Ciao Peoples
